BR2-05: The Baby Day

Billy Steel doesn't want his baby sister, Jasmine, to come to school for the day. He is worried that the new girl in the class will make fun of him, but Jusmine manages to put a smile on everyone's face.

     This story is about a baby in a class. One day, Mrs Ambrose had asked Billy's mum to take Jasmine into school for the afternoon, because the class was doing a project on 'Young and Old'. But Billy was not at all happy about it because of the new girl, Clare. She came from a much bigger school, which she said was the best school in the world. Her old teacher, Mr Diamond, was the best teacher in the world. She didn't think much of her new ones. So nobody liked Clare, but everyone admired her. She seemed clever and different.They wanted to be like her, so they copied her. Whatever she said, they agreed with her. When Mrs Ambrose told her class that Billy's mum was bringing her baby into the classroom for afternoon, Clare sighed and said, "Oh, yawn! What could be more boring than Billy's boring baby?" But the last of the class, She joined in the whole class burst out laughing. They had never seen her laugh before. What did the baby, Jasmine in the class?
